Panic! At The Disco - Pretty Odd

Panic! At The Disco - Pretty Odd
One of many college projects. I still really love this one! The assignment was to take an existing album and redesign the artwork for it. In doing this, I listened to the album over and over to come up with different imagery I wanted to use in order to narrate the story of the album. I grew up listening to this over and over. MY sister is a HUGE Panic fan. In my opinion, this was the most off the wall release they had, but it's still my favorite. The colors for the album were inspired by the song title "When the Day Met the Night". In this song, he's talking about the love story between the sun and the moon. So for the front, I chose to do orange and red watercolor to represent the sun. Then the back is shades of blue to represent the night. I then made the inside of the case purple & pink to represent sunrise and sunset when the colors meet. All of the watercolor was painted by hand to I could get the exact shades and pattern I wanted. I loved stepping away from my computer for a moment and getting back to basics. Overall, I had a great time with this project!
